Agricultural users are the clearest case for building light. The device is often an older Android phone, the connection is intermittent, data is counted, and the reader may be more comfortable in Telugu or Hindi than in English. A site built for an office laptop simply does not reach them.
This changes real decisions. Pages have to work at a few hundred kilobytes, content needs regional language versions rather than a translate widget, and anything essential should keep working when the connection drops mid task.
The commercial layer is usually the dealer network. Farmers buy locally, so the most valuable page on an input company's site is often the one that shows the nearest dealer with a phone number and directions.

Can the site work in Telugu?
Yes, as properly translated pages with their own URLs so search engines index them. A translate widget is not the same thing and reads poorly for agricultural terms, which are exactly the words that matter.
How do you handle poor connectivity?
Pages are kept small, images are compressed hard, and the critical parts are cached so a returning visitor sees content immediately even on a bad signal. We test against a throttled connection rather than office broadband.
Do farmers actually use websites?
Increasingly, through WhatsApp links and search on a phone. The pattern is usually a search that lands on a page, then a phone call to the dealer. That is why the dealer locator matters more than anything else on the site.
